Mr. Hunter, licensed to practice law in the State of Texas since 1990, is an experienced DWI attorney in Sugar Land. He devotes his practice exclusively to criminal law. Attorney Hunter uses his extensive experience as a former Fort Bend County judge and criminal attorney to provide his clients aggressive and effective representation. His previous experience as a judge,  he has seen a lot of effective methods of criminal defense, but have also witnessed the weak ones as well. David Hunter is a graduate of South Texas College of Law, J.D., with Honors: Dean’s List, SBA President’s Award, his M.S., from the University of Houston, M.B.A., from the University of Houston and B.S., the University of Houston.

Mr. Hunter is a member and former president of both the Fort Bend Bar Association and the Fort Bend County Criminal Defense Bar Association. He is also the former general counsel of the Fort Bend Republican Party, Texas District and County Attorneys Association, Former Civil Board Member and Former Precinct Chair – Precinct 4124.  He serves on the board of directors of Front Line Ministries and is the former chairman of Fort Bend Meals on Wheels. David is active in his church. He has authored numerous articles on criminal defense law and other legal topics, and has taught many courses at area colleges. His dedication to the community is evident by his many present and past positions on the Boards of several charitable, religious, and civic organizations.
