Attorney Richard Braverman, is admitted to practice law in New York State since 1966, the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of New York and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit in 1967, U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York and the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut. He has concentrated his law practice representing clients in bankruptcy and insolvency related issues, trusts and estates matters, commercial litigation, and real estate transactions.

Attorney Braverman has practiced bankruptcy law for 50 years, representing Chapter 7, 11, and 13 debtors in all phases of bankruptcy matters including defense in adversary proceedings; plaintiffs and defendants in litigation, including objections to discharge, preferences, fraudulent conveyances, and claims objections. Mr. Braverman took a training course in bankruptcy mediation, with this experience it has help him resolve disputes in bankruptcy cases.

Mr. Richard Braverman is a graduated of Columbia University in the City of New York Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Tufts University Bachelors degree in French and Government. He is President of the Five Towns Senior Center (2004-2010, 2014 to present),Vice President of Five Towns Senior Center (2000-2004),Treasurer of the Five Towns Senior Center ( 2011 – 2013),President of Temple Am Echad, Lynbrook (2012-2013), Presenter of New York State School Boards Association, regarding budget preparation,  Presider for the  New York State School Boards Association, regarding managing capital projects and served as a lecturer for American Management Association on the uniform commercial code, commercial litigation and insolvency matters; served as a Law Clerk to Hon. William J. Rudin, Bankruptcy Referee in 1962 and 1963.

Mr. Braverman is the author of a chapter in the book “Enforcing Judgments and Collecting Debts in New York” by West Publishing. He is the recipient of the Hewlett Woodmere Distinguished Award and Hall of Fame, as well as the Bnai Birth Award SCOPE.
