Ms. Miles graduated from the University of South Carolina Law School, she received her Masters from the University of South Carolina, and her Bachelors Degree in Counseling and Education from South Carolina State University. She is a member of the South Carolina Association of Justice, Workers Compensation of South Carolina and the South Carolina State Bar. Ms. Miles was honored with Woman of the Year, 2013, 2014.

Ms. Miles is married to Elmer Jerome Newbey and they have three grown sons.
