Attorney Bartholomew was admitted to the the California State Bar in 1972 as well as the United States Supreme Court, the United States Tax Court, and the United States Court of Claims. Attorney Bartholomew is also certified by the State Bar of California as a Family Law Specialist. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a member of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, as well as a licensed real estate broker. Previously, Mr. Bartholomew was partner for 15 years with the law firm of Desmond, Miller, Desmond & Bartholomew. Mr. Bartholomew a retired captain in the United States Army Reserve, co-founded the firm of Bartholomew & Wasznicky in 1989.
Mr. Bartholomew, a native of Elk Grove, California, received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at the University of California, Davis, in 1968 and his Juris Doctor in 1971 from the same institution. Attorney Bartholomew is a member and serves on the board of numerous legal field related associations, including President and Co-Founder of the Sacramento Collaborative Practice Group, Member of the State Bar of California and its Family Law Section, to name a few. He is also a published author of many publications as well as Co-Author of “Child Custody, a Practical Guide for Parents” and Co-Author of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants Education Division texts of Tax Aspects of Marital Dissolutions (1985-1989). Additionally, he has co-authored Advanced Tax Problems of Marital Dissolution (1990-1998) and Tax Consequences of Divorce.
Mr. Bartholomew holds Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Rating of 1o, an Avvo 10 Rating, selected as a Super Lawyers of Northern California, 2012-2019, he is the Eureka Award recipient from CP California and selected as Elk Grove Citizen of the Year in 1999 for his community service.
