Attorney Kerry John Katsorhis began practicing in New York in 1971. He is a general practitioner that has represented hundreds of individuals in matters involving real estate, commercial transactions, personal injuries, matrimonials, medical malpractice and criminal defense work. Over the course of his career he has tried more than 450 jury trials to verdict as a prosecutor, criminal and civil defense attorney and plaintiff’s trial attorney.
Attorney Kerry John Katsorhis started out as a New York State Parkway Patrolman as he worked his way through law school. After he was admitted to practice law in 1970, he served as a Queens County prosecutor for many years, and being chief of the Major Offense Bureau and Criminal Court Bureau in Queens County, before turning to general private legal practice in Flushing, Queens.
Mr. Katsorhis is admitted to the practice of law in New York, including state and federal district courts, the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals, the state of Florida and the United States Supreme Court. He is extremely active in the community and serves on numerous boards and committees.
Attorney Katsorhis is a graduate of New York Law School, J.D., 1970 as well as St. John’s University , B.A., 1967. A lifelong resident of New York City and the son of immigrant parents, Mr. Katsorhis embraces challenging legal cases. His elder daughter, Nicole, has been a practicing lawyer in the firm since 2002.
