Joe Grady was recently voted “Best Lawyer in Bastrop County” in a poll conducted by the Bastrop Advertiser.

A 7th generation Bastrop County resident, Attorney Joe Grady Tuck, III, is a bilingual (English & Spanish) attorney, who has over 48 years of experience in the legal industry. After graduation from the University of Texas School of Law in 1969, Joe worked as Research Director & Special Counsel for the Colorado Republican Central Committee before being named to a post in the Nixon Administration in Washington, D.C.  Returning to Texas, he worked in the office of Congressman Bill Archer of Houston, Chair of the Ways and Means Committee. Thereafter, in 1972 Joe was elected for the 1st of 2 terms as District Attorney of the 6 County 216th Judicial District of Texas, the only Republican DA in Texas and at 26, the youngest in the country.

Active in education, Joe Grady has served as an Adjunct Professor of Criminal Law at Schreiner University in Kerrville and of Employment Law in the graduate school of Chapman University in California. He served for many years as a member of the Board of the Boys & Girls Club of Bastrop and on the scholarship committee of the Cedar Creek Rotary Club, of which he was a founding member. Joe was also a Founding Director of the Bank of Kerrville, as well as the Founding Director and first President of Cable Advertising Systems, Inc. a publicly held company. Continuing his interest in cable television, he served for a decade on the Board of Upstart, Inc., a non-profit 501 (c)3 corporation that cable cast Ch. 10 in Bastrop.
Mr. Tuck currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Bastrop Historical Society.
Joe Grady is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law.
