Greg Friedman has been a recognized real estate attorney in Maryland, the District of Columbia and Virginia for more than 40 years. Greg represents commercial, residential and lending clients in all aspects of real estate transactions including acquisitions and dispositions, financing, refinancing, leasing, and syndication. His practice also includes extensive experience in investments , estate planning, mediation and tax matters.

Greg Friedman has been a principal lawyer in residential and commercial real estate projects in many other jurisdictions throughout the United States. Greg has worked “both sides” of real estate, business and syndication transactions, having served as attorney for commercial landlords and tena , and institutional lenders, business owners, property developers and participants in 1031 property exchanges, throughout Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and the District of Columbia. Early in his career, Greg served as in-house counsel and a corporate officer of National Corporation for Housing Partnerships and Housing Capital Corporation. He has testified as an expert witness in real estate matters and is a long time member of the Tax Management (legal publisher) Real Estate Study Group.

Greg earned a B.A. in Urban Studies with Honors from Washington University in St. Louis, a Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law, and subsequently completed extensive course work in Finance and Accounting at the University of Maryland Graduate School of Business and Management, and graduate taxation courses at Georgetown University School of Law. He has served as a Hearing Panel Chairman of the Montgomery County Commission on Common Ownership Communities,  and Trustee of the Hebrew Free Loan Association of Washington D.C.
