Working closely with tax preparation and planning, she discovered a deeper calling. She saw how thoughtful planning could safeguard families for generations, and that realization set her on a new path.

In pursuit of that vision, Kristyn attended South Texas College of Law, blending her accounting foundation with rigorous legal training. She thrived there, becoming a Mock Trial Finalist and earning the highest grade in Trusts and Fiduciary Responsibilities. She also clerked for the Honorable Mike Wood in Harris County Probate Court Two, gaining firsthand insight into the probate process. She received her Juris Doctor in 2003 and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas.

Her career then took an unexpected and valuable turn. Working as a contract Landman for ExxonMobil, Kristyn applied her probate and intestacy knowledge to verify title ownership of oil and gas minerals. That experience gave her a rare command of mineral ownership that few estate attorneys possess, and it continues to benefit clients who own oil and gas properties or receive royalties.
