David obtained his Associates in Science from Yuba College in 1985 and his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Willamette University in 1987.  He graduated from Willamette University School of Law in 1990.   He was admitted to the Alaska State Bar in 1991.   In 2011, David received his Masters in Science Counseling Psychology from Alaska Pacific University. He is a member of the Alaska Bar Association, Alaska Bar Association Lawyers Assistance Committee.

In his spare time, David enjoys ultra running, race car driving and traveling.
