Newport Beach, CA WW/Press/June 15, 2017 – Jeffrey M. Adelson, General Counsel and Managing Partner with Adelson Mclean, has been selected for inclusion into the Top Attorneys of North America 2017 edition by The Who’s Who Directories.
Jeffrey M. Adelson obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Fullerton in 1973, and received his Juris Doctor from Western State University College of Law in Fullerton, California in 1976.
Mr. Adelson has also completed numerous courses in Advanced Legal Education at the University of Southern California Law Center. In addition, he has completed multiple courses in orthopedic medicine, psychiatric medicine, and human anatomy.
Jeffrey M. Adelson has served as a Judge Pro Tem. Additionally, he has been a workers’ compensation instructor at several colleges in Southern California. He has also lectured extensively regarding workers’ compensation, employment, and subrogation issues to physician, employer, insurer, and labor groups.
Some of his lectures may be heard through an audio series entitled, “Legal Management Resources”, and the video lecture entitled, “Meeting at the Crossroads”. He is not only a public speaker but has authored several articles.
Jeffrey M. Adelson has been a member of various professional organizations including, The Joint Orange County Workers’ Compensation Carriers and Defense Association, the Workers’ Compensation Defense Association, the Southern California Fraud Investigators Association, the Southern California Defense Counsel Association and the Claims Litigation Management Alliance.
He also volunteers as a mentor for first year students at Chapman University School of Law. Mr. Adelson is also a member of the Society of Corporate Compliance & Ethics, a community of compliance professionals that defines and shapes the corporate environment across a wide range of industries and around the world. In addition he is an active member of the Sports Lawyer Association and, in 2014, he became a member of the National Retail and Restaurant Defense Association (NRRDA).
Over the years, Mr. Adelson has been the recipient of several honors. In both 2012 and 2016, Mr. Adelson received the prestigious designation of Certified Litigation Management Professional (CLMP) from the CLM’s Litigation Management Institute. He was also nominated and accepted as a member of The Society of Fellows of the Orange County Bar Foundation.
In January of 2014, Mr. Adelson was honored by The Legal Network – 2014 as one of California’s Top Lawyers, exhibiting the highest in ethical standards and professional excellence. May 13, 2013, Mr. Adelson was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States of America. In addition, on January 9, 2015, Mr. Adelson was sworn in and admitted to the Washington, D.C. bar.
