Top Attorney – Patrick Morgan Ford

Pat Ford is a criminal defense lawyer in San Diego who represents convicted defendants on appeal in the state and federal courts. In 2014, he appeared in the U.S. Supreme Court, along with Stanford Professor Jeff Fisher in a landmark case that expanded the privacy rights of cell phone users and all citizens in the modern age.
Mr. Ford frequently writes articles for criminal defense organizations and lectures on criminal law-related topics. Mr. Ford received his B.A. from Georgetown University and his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law. He is a member of the San Diego Criminal Defense Bar Association, California Appellate Defense Counsel, and is President of La Jolla Legal Publications, Inc. Pat also received numerous accolades, including Appellate Attorney of the Year by the San Diego Criminal Defense Bar Association, the Paul Bell Award for Appellate Achievement, and the Burbank Award for Service to CADC.
