Top Attorney – David L. Speckman
San Diego, CA WW/Press/September 1, 2016 –David L. Speckman, Attorney with Speckman Law Firm, was selected for inclusion in the forthcoming Top Attorneys of North America 2016 edition of The Who’s Who Directories. 
The accomplishments attained by Mr. David Speckman, in the practice of law (Legal Services), warrants his inclusion into the Top Attorneys of North America. Originally from Seattle, Washington, David Speckman graduated from the University of Washington in 1992 with a degree in business administration (accounting emphasis). After passing the unified CPA exam in Washington State, Mr. Speckman moved to San Diego California to attend law school at the University of San Diego. Mr. Speckman graduated from University San Diego School of Law in 1995 with a joint JD\MBA degree. Mr. Speckman went on to successfully pass the California Bar Exam in July 1995. Mr. Speckman joined the Nevada Bar in 2013. Mr. Speckman has offices in San Diego, Calexico, and Las Vegas Nevada. Over the course of more than twenty years, Mr. Speckman has represented thousands of individuals and companies in the area of civil litigation, personal injury, real estate law, business fraud, consumer-protection, and insolvency law (i.e., bankruptcy). Over 50% of Mr. Speckman’s time is now committed to representing primarily debtors in complex Chapter 7, 13, and 11 bankruptcy proceedings.
Mr. Speckman is certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specializations as a Certified Bankruptcy Law Specialist. Mr. Speckman is one of only 13 such accomplished individuals in San Diego County (a judicial district having more than 35,000 licensed attorneys) and the only one actively practicing in Imperial County, California. Mr. Speckman holds an “AV Preeminent” rating from Martindale-Hubbell®, representing its highest possible rating. This rating was the result of a peer review and input from local attorneys and judges. Mr. Speckman has a number of published appellate decisions, including the only California published decision in which a medical malpractice case was certified as a class-action. Mr. Speckman also set new law in the area of real estate broker disclosure obligations and duties owed to recipients of medical services. Mr. Speckman frequently lectures and discusses matters of real estate law, broker liability, bankruptcy law, and litigation. Mr. Speckman has spoken before several local professional organizations and has been interviewed several times by local media concerning current legal topics.
