Beyond her professional accomplishments, Joan also cherishes her family life. She and her husband, Charles, have two children who have followed in their footsteps and become lawyers, Heather Robert Coffman, Esq. and Jay Robert, Esq. Furthermore, they are proud grandparents to Naomi Coffman and Leo Coffman.
