Richard Tannenbaum has been practicing law for more than thirty years with the last twenty devoted principally to high-end divorces and contested custody cases. He has extensive experience in the matrimonial field involving complex issues ranging from highly charged custody disputes to valuations of multi-million dollar businesses. Mr. Tannenbaum has represented several celebrity clients including Mayor Rudolph Giuliani and lectured to fellow lawyers on the increasingly important topic of electronic discovery and the obligation to preserve electronically stored information. He has also been appointed by the courts as a referee in several complex matrimonial cases. Whether its negotiating an agreement or litigating the matter in court, Mr. Tannenbaum brings to bear his vast experience in all aspects of family law on vigorously protecting the interests of his clients while making the process as tolerable as possible. Richard is a member of the New York Family Law American Inn of Court, Matrimonial Law Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association, and Past President and Chairman of the Board of the Great Neck Lawyers Association. He has also been a volunteer for Musicians On Call, an organization which brings live music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities who are too ill to leave their beds. An accomplished musician, Mr. Tannenbaum plays the piano for both children and adult patients at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York and has appeared numerous times on Mt. Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital’s KidZone TV.
