Richard Scott was born in New York City and raised in the Baltimore-Washington area. He is highly experienced in the areas of criminal and traffic defense, personal injury, and family law. He has tried cases throughout the State of Maryland and remains an active member of the Baltimore County Bar Association, where he volunteers his time for pro-bono cases and also teaches trial tactics and techniques to up and coming future attorneys in local Maryland High Schools. Mr. Scott is an established and well-respected member of both the legal and local communities. He is loyal, hard-driven and accessible to his clients as he works around the clock for them. Mr. Scott received his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law and is a member of the Baltimore County Bar Association, the Baltimore City Bar Association and the Maryland State Bar Association.
He is a former US Army officer with the 101st Airborne Division in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Scott served as and was deployed as a Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer, and Operations Officer at the Corps level. He is a certified mediator in the State of Maryland and Bar member in good standing with the Baltimore County Bar Association, Baltimore City Bar Association, the State of Maryland Bar Association and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Scott is a family man. He is married with a son, Levi Alexander and he has 2 border collies.
