Kenneth M. Schwartz is a senior attorney at Sciocchetti & Abbott, PLLC. He is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, United States District Court for the Northern District of New York, United States Bankruptcy Court for Northern District of New York, and the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division Third Department.
He practices in the areas of real estate law, both residential and commercial; landlord/tenant law, representing landlords; wills and estates; business creation of corporations and limited liability companies; and title insurance matters. His secret to success has been trying to react to clients ‘ needs and being reasonable in both the scope of the services provided and legal fees charged.
Mr. Schwartz received his B.A. from Hobart College and his J.D. from Capital University School of Law. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Albany County Bar Association, and Bankruptcy Bar Association of the Northern District of New York.
He has lectured on topics such as residential real estate and contracts, title examination and title insurance issues, and alternatives to litigation on boundary line disputes for the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), New York State Land Title Association, Albany County Bar Association, Schenectady County Bar Association, New York State Legislature and Executive Staff, Lorman Educational Services, and National Business Institute. He is author of the chapter “Residential Real Estate Practice” in the Pitfalls of Practice (NYSBA) and co-author of the chapter on “Real Estate Transactions – Residential Property” in the New York Lawyer’s Deskbook and Formbook and monograph series (NYSBA).
Kenneth M. Schwartz has been an avid supporter of the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation and is personally acquainted with several astronauts of the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and Shuttle programs. He is past president of Congregation Berith Sholom, in Troy, NY and is currently a member of the Berith Sholom choir. In 2016, Mr. Schwartz was named as one of the Top Attorneys of North America by the Who’s Who Directories. His favorite hobbies are traveling and photography, favorite adventure, Adult Space Camp in Huntsville, AL, favorite opportunity realized, freelance photographer covering three space shuttle launches and his favorite subject in school is history and Native American studies.
