From 1992 to 1993, he served as General Counsel for the Industrial Development Agency in the Town of Clifton Park, guiding the agency through the legal considerations that accompany economic development. Together, these appointments gave him a working command of real property development, planning, zoning matters, and the litigation that can arise from them. He also developed steady experience in corporate and partnership law and in the formation and governance of other business entities.
Real estate law remains at the center of Mr. Miller’s practice, and he represents clients in both residential and commercial transactions. He brings particular skill to mortgage banking, mortgage closings, and the regulatory requirements that govern them. A significant portion of his work involves representing Homestead Funding Corp., a well-established mortgage bank, where his knowledge of closing procedures and compliance standards has proven especially valuable.
