Mr. Christopher D. Brockett is an attorney with Robertson, Beasley, Shipley & Robinson Law Firm with offices in Fort Smith, Little Rock, Springdale, and Ozark, Arkansas. He is admitted to the Arkansas Bar in 2005, the U.S. District Court, Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas; and United States Tax Court. Mr. Brockett’s practice involves corporate formations and structuring, State and Federal Tax Controversy, Planning and Litigation, Illegal Exaction Litigation, election challenges, civil litigation, Probate, Trust and Estate Litigation, Commercial, Business Law and Estate Planning.

Brockett began focused in the areas of estate planning, business and tax planning, business formation, mergers and acquisitions, Federal and State tax controversies and probate matters. In 2011, Mr. Brockett joined Eugene Sayre and formed Sayre & Brockett a professional association. Mr. Brockett routinely handles complex litigation in various areas that range from trusts and will disputes, illegal exaction tax cases in that State of Arkansas, Federal and State tax controversy, election challenge cases, business disputes, and he recently represented the City of Ozark, Arkansas in a dispute with Union Pacific Railroad Company over the re-installation of an at grade railroad crossing. He believes in being accessible to his clients 24 hours a day, whether they are large corporations, local family-owned businesses, or individuals. Mr. Brockett is not afraid to handle cases that are difficult, complex and sometimes controversial.

Mr. Brockett earned his B.S. degree from Arkansas Tech University, J.D. degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law and LL.M. degree in taxation from the University of Miami School of Law. He is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association (Member: Young Lawyers Section, Tax Law Section, (Previous Chair), Probate Law Section, Pulaski County Bar Association, Pope County Bar Association, Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity, and Federalist Society Lawyers Section. He is also a President Main Street Ozark, Immediate Past-President Ozark Rotary Club. Additionally, he has has authored, Chapter 19 of the Arkansas Probate and Estate Administration Handbook (2012 through current). He also serves as Editor, Arkansas Bar Association Probate and Trusts Law Review (2013 through present).

Mr. Brockett has presented on a wide variety of topics at various legal seminars in Arkansas from 2005 through present. He is an Adjunct Professor at the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law from 2007 through present. He is the past chair of the Arkansas Bar Association Probate Law Section and the Section of Taxation. Mr. Brockett has been named a rising star in Tax for the past four (4) years by Mid-South Super Lawyer Magazine (2011 through 2014) and one of the top 50 lawyers in Arkansas for the past three (3) out of four (4) years (2011, 2012, and 2014) and most recently was named by Who’s Who as one of the Top Attorneys in North America.
