Elgin, IL/WW Press/August 16, 2018– Dorothy A. Voigt, Founder and Attorney of the Law Offices of Dorothy A. Voigt was selected for inclusion as a President’s Circle Member into the Top Attorneys of North America 2018-19 edition of Who’s Who Directories. 
Attorney Dorothy A. Voigt opened her law practice in 2015. She concentrates her practice on the division of retirement assets for divorcing parties, as well as the evaluation and analysis of retirement plans in association with the litigation of family law matters. She drafts quality orders to divide retirement benefits in connection with a divorce at a reasonable price. Dorothy also is able to help attorneys and divorcing individuals to understand the retirement and executive compensation benefits they have and the divisibility of same.
Dorothy received her Juris Doctor from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1992, scoring highest in her Family Law class and earning Dean’s List Honors. Dorothy also earned, with honors, her L.L.M in Employee Benefits from the John Marshall Law School in 2012. Dorothy is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association (Employee Benefits Committee), Chicago Bar Association, Kane County Bar Association, DuPage County Bar Association and American Bar Association. Dorothy previously was a co-chair of the CBA Chorus Committee, and is a co-chair of the KCBA Bar Association Committee. Dorothy participates in Family Law Committees as well for all organizations.
Since 2000, she has also taught “Kids in a Divorcing Society,” a mandatory class for divorcing pare in the 16th Judicial District of Kane County. Prior to joining Schiller, Dorothy worked at law firms that practiced family law, workers’ compensation law, and SSDI Law.
Dorothy also has had articles published in the Kane County Bar Association Bar Briefs, DuPage County Brief, Lake County Bar Association Docket, and the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin. Dorothy has done presentations on retirement and health care benefits to the Chicago Bar and the Kane County Bar Associations.

Dorothy is single. Dorothy’s parents have celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary this year. She has two sisters, one brother, four nieces and two nephews.
