Attorney Michael J. Laffey has been practicing law for over 26 years. He is admitted to practice before all Pennsylvania State courts, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Pennsylvania, The Second and Third Circuit Courts of Appeals and the U.S. His area of concentration is insurance liability and personal injury. Mr. Laffey’s experience and extensive knowledge of administering systematic programs of subrogation outsourcing for insurers, third party administrators, and employers. He has developed a proven process which involves attorney oversight complete with comprehensive tracking and reporting. Through this process, OPL have been able to significantly increase subrogation recoveries for their clients , far superior to the industry norms. While they have the capabilities and staffing to replace an entire OPL/COB /Subrogation department, They are most often called upon to support and enhance subrogation processing and claim recoveries. Prior Chairman of the Pennsylvania Statewide Bar Association Health and Hospital Law Committee, is a member of the National Health Lawyers Association, Pa and American Trial Lawyer associations and a lecturer for the National Association of Subrogation Professionals, the National Other Party Liability Group and the National Healthcare Anti-fraud Association.
