John B. Dawson, Jr., P.C. was established in 1989 and maintains an office in Syosset, New York. While the firm handles a wide assortment of cases the concentration of matters handled by the firm are estate planning, wills and trusts, estate and trust administration, real estate, and elder care. The firm concentrates on informing the clients of their options in order to best achieve the client’s wishes.
He attended the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and the Duke University School of Law. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association.
Mr. Dawson previously served as Trustee and Chairman of The Jones Fund, a quasi private and governmental organization dedicated to the housing and board of indigent citizens. He is currently a Trustee of The Land Foundation, and President and Director of The Friends of Cedarmere, Inc., whose mission is to restore and maintain the property known as Cedarmere, the home of William Cullen Bryant, who was a poet, editor, publisher and extremely influential civic leader.
In addition to the preceding involvements, Mr. Dawson is a lifelong sailor and a past Commodore of the Sea Cliff Yacht Club, where he has been an active member for 53 years.
