Attorney Jan Elizabeth Preece Gaddis has been practicing law since 1988. She is admitted to practice in Oklahoma, the Federal District Courts of Oklahoma in the Northern, Eastern, and Western Districts, the Tenth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. She begin practice in 1988 and associated with two law firms until 1994. Winning a big case in Bratcher vs. Bray Dell School, a woman wanted to be a football coach and they denied her, along with her collaboration with the attorneys they won the case, which was considered discrimination. During that time I retained a general practice with an emphasis in Employment law. Ms. Gaddis has experience litigating Title VII and wrongful termination cases both for plaintiff and defendants. She won a case Mason vs. Oklahoma Turnpike for wrongful termination and won the case. She remains current in this area of the law with regard to employee and employer relationships and workplace issues regarding discrimination charges. She has primarily represented Plaintiffs with regard to employment issues, and representing employer. She has the experience in the areas of trade secrets and commission disputes and representing public officials who were subject to employment discrimination allegations.

Ms. Gaddis attended the University of Denver, where she pledged Pi Beta Sorority and graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a B.M.E and M.M.E. in 1970 and 1972. In 1982, she graduated from the University of Dallas with a Master’s of Business Administration and was initiated into Sigma lota Epsilon Honorary Business Fraternity. In 1988, she graduated from Oklahoma City University with a Juris Doctorate.

Ms. Gaddis is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and Stephens County Bar Association. She participated for a three year term in the William J. Holloway Inns of court as a Barrister. While a member of the Oklahoma County Bar Association Alternate Dispute Resolution Committee, the first Mediation Court Rules in Oklahoma and Canadian Counties were adopted and Court Rules for Arbitration were in the process of being adopted. She completed twenty-four hours in mediation for certification as a mediator in Oklahoma and Canadian Counties. She has also been an arbitrator with Finra (Formerly NASD) since 1993, active in various community organizations from arts, political, local humane society and church. Ms. Gaddis secret to success is that she is a Christian and strongly believes in Jesus Christ. With her strong faith, she is a survivor of stage three ovarian cancer which derailed her from practicing law due to chemotherapy. She stayed home and healed and is now successfully practicing law. She also believes in the three P’s, pets, pare and practicing.
