The accomplishments and achievements attained by Mr. James McConnell, in the field of Legal Services, warrants inclusion into the Top Attorneys of North America. James McConnell is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Illinois, and the United States Supreme Court, concentrating in public and private construction contracting, and commercial litigation. He has represented clients in hundreds of cases involving complex construction claims, and other international commercial, financial and insurance issues, including the British Overseas Trade Board, J. C. Decaux, the Consul General of Mexico, the Public Building Commission of Chicago, Exelon Corporation, and Bethlehem Steel. His most notable cases include the TARP “Deep Tunnel” Project, Chicago’s Millennium Park, Blue Cross/Blue Shield Vertical Completion, Chicago Central Police Headquarters, and the Chicago Center for Green Technology. Attorney McConnell attributes his success to his forty years of experience on the construction site and in the court room while establishing a personal relationship with each client. Mr. McConnell received his B.S. from Iowa State University and his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law. He is a member of the Congress of Fellows of the Center for International Legal Studies, and is serving his second term as Chairman of the McHenry County Historic Preservation Commission.
