York, PA WW/Press/January 23, 2017 –Elizabeth Reeves, Attorney with the Law Office of Elizabeth Reeves, was selected for inclusion in the forthcoming Top Attorneys of North America 2017 edition.
The accomplishments and achievements attained by Ms. Elizabeth Reeves, in the field of Legal Services, warrants inclusion into the Top Attorneys of North America. Elizabeth Reeves practices in the areas of bankruptcy and emergency management. She has worked for FEMA since 2001. She started in disaster relief work during the Bosnian War in the mid-1990’s. She taught for two years American Law in two Chinese Universities, Chongqing University and Sichuan International Studies University. In the 1990’s she lobbied on Capitol Hill for two NGO’s and effected legislation, regulations, and caswlaw. In the past she has worked for the government as a contract specialist and contracting officer’s representative. As an artist she has drawn 8,000 portraits. Elizabeth received her B.F.A. from The Maryland Institute College of Art and her J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law. Ms. Reeves was the first person to win an Indian rights case in the State of Maryland on appeal and the first to obtain a protective order for race horses in a bankruptcy case in US Bankruptcy Court of Maryland. She is also recognized for her work with FEMA during Hurricane Katrina and 9/11. She published a series of articles on ART LAW in New York City’s Art and Artists magazine in 1984 on copyrights, the droit moral, and droit de suite.
