Ft. Lauderdale, FL WW/Press/November 28, 2016 –Marylin Batista-McNamara, Attorney with The School Board of Broward County, was selected for inclusion in the forthcoming Top Attorneys of North America 2017 edition of The Who’s Who Directories.
The accomplishments and achievements attained by Mrs. Marylin Batista-McNamara, in the field of Legal Services, warrants inclusion into the Top Attorneys of North America. Broward County School District is the sixth largest in the nation. Mrs. Batista-McNamara is a Board Certified attorney in Education law who serves as the Deputy General Counsel for the School Board. She oversees the legal affairs of the District as it relates to litigation of civil rights, personnel matters, diversity, and appeals in special education cases. Her current practice focuses on litigation and counseling on a wide array of education and corporate matters affecting the District’s governance, compliance and employment areas. Mrs. Batista-McNamara has authored several articles to employment and education law and is a frequent speaker on legal topics associated with employment and education matters. For the past eight years, she has also recruited, and mentored law students through a clerkship program at the Office of the General Counsel. Marylin received her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University and her B.Sc. from Florida International University. She was appointed to the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Specialization, a Past Chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Broward Bar and the Education Law Committee, where she served as Editor-in-Chief for the first online journal of the Florida Board, and a Past Chair of the Education Law Certification Committee.
