Thomas Mulcahy began his career as an in-court investigator under then Hudson County Prosecutor (later Superior Court and Appellate Division Judge) Geoffrey Gaulkin, and then served as an Assistant Prosecutor under Hudson County Prosecutor (later Superior Court Judge), James T. O’Halloran, rising to become Chief Homicide Prosecutor for that office. He has a broad range of litigation and trial experience, having defended corporations in complex product liability suits, multi-party litigation, toxic tort litigation, premises liability accidents, property claims, and employment law matters. Mr. Mulcahy has litigated claims in all areas of insurance coverage and policy disputes including first-party property, subrogation, legal, architectural and engineering and broker/agent matters, and has been frequently retained to investigate and litigate claims involving insurance fraud. He has also successfully represented plaintiffs in significant personal injury, wrongful death, and survivor actions. Thomas received his B.A. from Fordham University and his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law. He is a member of the Federation of Insurance and Corporate Counsel, American Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, New Jersey Defense Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
