Gene received his B.A. and J.D. from the University of Mississippi. He also received special training in the following areas: U.S. Postal Service Mediation Training, Family Law Mediation Training, Advanced Mediation Skills Training, and Association of Attorney-Mediators Advanced Mediator Training. Mr. Harlow is a member of the Jones County Bar Association (President 2000-2001), American Bar Association, American Association of Justice, Mississippi Bar Association (President 2014-2015), Past President of the Young Lawyers Division of the Mississippi Bar, Fellow & Member of Board of Trustees of MS Bar Foundation, serves on Mississippi Volunteer Lawyers Project, serves as Panel member for Resolute Systems, Inc. and the United States Arbitration & Mediation, and served as Chairman of the Mediation Committee of the Mississippi Bar (1997-1998).
