He has been actively involved in a national and international business litigation and business practice based first in Washington, D.C. and later in Los Angeles, California. While engaged in private practice, Mr. Burris was an adjunct and associate professor at the Georgetown Law Center from 1972 to 1976, and served as a special counsel to the U.S. Senate Watergate Committee from 1973 to 1974. For the past five years, he has worked with his partner, Mr. Schoenberg, in the successful pursuit of art works and other assets stolen by the Nazi authorities before and during World War II. Mr. Burris is a lecturer and author. His secret to success has been in being a naturalist that is always honest and respectful to his clients and the courts. Donald received his B.A. with honors from Alfred University and his J.D. with honors from Georgetown University Law Center. He is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, American Bar Association, District of Columbia Bar Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
