Patrick received his B.A. from William Penn University with Highest Honors, where he also attained the honors of being named both a Scholastic All-American and an Academic All-Conference Football player. He received his J.D. from Drake University with High Honors, where he was named to and served on the Law Review for two years, was named and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Drake Legal Clinic Newsletter, and was named and served as Research Assistant to the Congressionally endowed U.S. Constitutional Law Center. Patrick is an Eagle Scout, and remains very active as an adult Boy Scout and youth group leader, and in giving service to the community. He is the father of two children.
