Samuel J. Dubbin is a third generation attorney in Miami, and, a principal in the law firm of Dubbin & Kravetz, LLP. He practices in the areas of commercial, administrative and regulatory litigation, and has representsnted national and regional companies, not-for-profit associations, local businesses and individuals in commercial and real estate litigation, and land use and zoning, State and Federal regulatory, transportation, insurance, public records and Freedom of Information Act, and sports law cases including Lennar Corporation; the University of Miami; Top Rank Inc.; the City of Miami Beach; the Jewish Museum of Florida; and several homeowners’ organizations and condominium associations. Mr. Dubbin served in the Clinton Administration from 1993-1996, as Chief Counsel to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and as Special Assistant to Attorney General Janet Reno and Deputy Assistant Attorney General for Policy Development in the Department of Justice. From 2001-2005, Dubbin & Kravetz was one of three firms that successfully representsnted Hungarian Holocaust Survivors seeking restitution and an accounting against the United States government in the Hungarian Gold Train case, which was settled for $25.5 million in 2005 after nearly five years of litigation.

The firm also represents Holocaust survivors and heirs of Holocaust victims with claims against European insurance companies that failed to pay the proceeds of insurance policies issued prior to World War II. Mr. Dubbin has testified before several U.S. House and Senate Committees on legislation to enable Holocaust victims and heirs to sue insurance companies to recover unpaid policies in U.S. courts. Mr. Dubbin has received broad professional and community recognition for his work on behalf the Holocaust survivor community. He also served on the Florida Transportation Commission, the Florida Supreme Court Nominating Commission, and the Board of Directors of Greater Miami Jewish Federation, including as Chairman of the Jewish Community Relations Council. Mr. Dubbin has a Martindale Hubbell Peer Review Rating of AAV and is included in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers, and is a former shareholder in the law firm of Greenberg Traurig and partner with Steel Hector & Davis. Mr. Dubbin received his bachelor’s degree in economics, magna cum laude, from Harvard College in 1977. In 1981, he graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law, where he received the Harvey T. Reid Scholarship and served as an editor of the Law Review. After law school, Sam clerked for the Honorable James Lawrence King, United States District Judge for the Southern District of Florida, from 1981-1982.
