Mr. Haskell received his B.A. from Amherst College and his J.D. from Yale Law School. He is very active in the community and has been involved with many difference associations in this way. He has served as a director and trustee of the Birmingham Museum of Art, Alabama Symphonic Association, the State of Alabama Ballet, the Alabama Shakespeare Festival and the Birmingham Music Club. He is a member of the Trustee’s Committee of the Folger Shakespeare Library, National Committee of the United States Junior Tennis League, Alys Robinson Stephens Performing Arts Advisory Board, University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Presidents Society, Friends of the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Legislative Network, National Association of Bond Lawyers, American Bar Association and the Alabama Bar Association. In 2005, he and his wife received the “Outstanding Philanthropist” Award from the Alabama Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. He is also listed as Municipal Law’s “The Best Lawyers in America” and an Alabama Super Lawyer.
